Motivation is a tricky thing for me. When I want to do something I’m very capable. And when I don’t want to I’m fairly immovable.

As I ponder the new year I’m aware of some behaviors I’d like to change and life situations I’d like to improve but they aren’t strong desires. How do I light the fire without waiting for the extreme?

I’m experimenting with an intention of turning up my sensitivity by 20%. That seems like an amount that could make a difference without setting off my resistance. I’ll be 20% more aware of whether I actually want to eat/drink/ignore that baked good/glass of wine/crummy surface.

Let’s see how this works.
