Mia Moravis is a three-time Emmy® Awards-nominated producer, a Remi® Award-winning filmmaker (Seeking Heat, about the international artists on David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label), an award-winning actress, and 27-time ASCAP PLUS Award-winning songwriter.
Mia is a Member of The Broadway League, a Judge for multiple genres of the Emmy® Awards, a Voting Member of The Recording Academy~Grammy® Awards, an Executive-, Co-, and Associate Producer at Grammy® Award-winning Broadway Records (including the Grammy® Award-nominated MY FAIR LADY~Broadway revival cast recording), Co- Producer Off-Broadway of YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN (The York Theatre Company, 2016), and on Van Dean’s producing team of ANASTASIA The Musical ~Broadway, and the ANASTASIA U.S. Tour. She is also on Mr. Dean’s producing team of the U.S. Tour and Broadway production of THE LIGHTNING THIEF: THE PERCY JACKSON MUSICAL, a Co-Producer of JAGGED LITTLE PILL~Broadway, and a Co-Producer of the new musical, MARIE~Broadway (2021), about the dancer who inspired Degas. Mia is an Investor in COMPANY~Broadway, starring Patti LuPone and Katrina Lenk; Arlene Scanlon’s Producing Partner on SING STREET ~Broadway; and on Catherine Schreiber’s Producing Team for THE KING’S SPEECH~Broadway. Mia is on Jennifer Tepper’s producing team of BE MORE CHILL~Broadway (continuing that association now on London’s West End), and a Co-Producer of BROADWAY BOUNTY HUNTER~Off-Broadway, starring Annie Golden. On the West End, Mia is also a producing team member of DreamWorks Animation/ DreamWorks Theatricals’ THE PRINCE OF EGYPT.
Mia is the Associate Producer of the June 2020 Broadway Records release, Artists in Residence. In July 2020, she performed in Barry Manilow’s virtual chorus in the invitation- only Hold The House (Executive Producer John Legend, Director Erich Bergen, mixed/mastered by Michael J. Moritz, Jr.). Also in July of 2020, she was a Sponsor of Project Sing Out!, seen via Playbill online, which supports theatre education programming for BIPOC students in under-resourced schools. She is also a 2020 District Advocate for the Grammy® Awards SUMMER OF ADVOCACY.
Mia is Co-Producer of Broadway Records’ release, I Have A Voice and of #ArtistsForTheArts With A Little Help From My Friends (recording and video), and of the CD and DVD of the Emmy® Award-winning From Broadway With Love~Broadway For Orlando. Her own musical, SESSION GIRLS, debuted concert-style March 6, 2018 at Feinstein’s/54 Below, and featured eleven Broadway-credited and Tony Award-nominated performers, the cast recording of which was released that year on September 28 on Broadway Records, produced by Michael J. Moritz, Jr., and now available on all major music outlets.
Mia is a recording artist on Gotham Records UK—her Celtic Music EP, DUNOON, features the multi-award-winning song, Shakespeare And Me. She is heard, along with Grammy® Award winner Janis Ian, Vickie Carrico, and Mother Earth’s Tracy Nelson, on UK bluesman Trevor Sewell’s album, Calling Nashville, and Mia is also heard on Broadway Records’ Hero—the TYCE album of epic Jim Steinman songs.
Mia is also a voice actor, on the Grammy® Awards ballot year after year in the Spoken Word genre. She is Narrator for Broadcast Muse Audio Theatre, the five-part Greek mythology series of which is heard in high rotation on iHeartRadio iRead2Know/iHeartFamily (available on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes).
