It has been my habit to be VERY accommodating to my clients. I tend to say, “whatever way you want to do it is fine with me.”
I think sometimes that is not a service. Being too open makes choices more difficult.
Those of you who know the Myers-Briggs Personality Quotient will recognize the P in my ENFP. I like to keep my options open. At worst that can be like a fog of indecision, and lack of commitment. It also avoids the responsibility of a choice.
I have set a goal to be more resolute and concrete. I will state my preferences and be less equivocating. I intend to continue giving excellent customer service, and I’ll start by letting you know where I stand.
